Oh Deary Me – "Fun candy coated pop music to lift the spirits...”

'Catalyst' is a song about true love. The story is about two lovers who are so into each other, yet for some reason cannot be together as often as they'd like. Kind of like a Romeo and Juliet type of relationship. The song expresses the female characters desire for the next encounter with her beau. When I wrote this song I based it on a personal relationship of mine. The lyrics are excerpts from my journal.

While laying the song down at GCR Audio, I remember feeling like Kelsey really took the instrumental I'd created and gave it that "Longing" effect. I'd never even discussed the storyline of 'Catalyst' with him. Everything the tone of his playing to the feel of it, captured exactly what I had imagined in my mind. He just nailed it. I love making music in that way. When the sounds are intuitive, for me that's the thing that makes the song more genuine. This odd timing of the drum is fun too. It really gets me moving on stage. The video for 'Catalyst' is definitely one of the sexiest I've done so far. It took me a little time to get comfortable on set, but once I saw some of the playback, I thought "Oh, I got this!" My co-star Tavish O' Keefe and the director Bruce Bohman helped me a lot in that area.

Overall, I'm really proud of not only 'Catalyst', but the Orange Circle album as a whole. It really showcases a bit more of my artistic range, which is something I've been dying to do FOREVER. I'm really looking forward to the next album
