Sydney, June 22 (DPA) Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue will be back on stage in her Melbourne hometown in December, concert promoter Michael Gudinski said Thursday.
The Australian and Asian leg of her 'Showgirl' world tour will be rescheduled now that Minogue has recovered from breast cancer treatment, Gudinski said.
A lump was removed from the 37-year-old's left breast in a Melbourne hospital in May.
After the Melbourne operation, which forced the postponement of the remaining 'Showgirl' concerts, Minogue returned to her home in London and then underwent treatment in France, where she is sharing an apartment with her fiancé, actor Olivier Martinez.
Gudinski told reporters in Melbourne that he had just returned from visiting Minogue in London and that she was looking well.
'She's definitely through the worst of everything, she's so determined and she can't wait to see you all,' Gudinski said.
'Obviously, she's still got a few mountains to climb, but we're very, very confident that the tour will be going ahead in November.'
Gudinski said the shows would be updated and the tour renamed the 'Showgirl Homecoming Tour'. The first concert would be in Sydney in November and the Australian sweep would end in Melbourne in December.
