Townshend and Daltrey's ongoing feud

London, June 26 (IANS) Roger Daltrey, The Who's lead singer, says the onstage friendship between him and guitarist Pete Townshend is all for show and in reality they can't stand each other.

According to contactmusic.com, the two have always had a stormy relationship and during their heydays they used to end up in fistfights. Daltrey thinks their classic edginess would be ruined if they made peace and is happy to let the tension continue.

He says: 'I spend no time with him outside of music. None. We are incredibly volatile and god forbids we should ever clear that up. It would be disaster. We'd lose the tension. It would be like boring if he started liking me.'
