West Indies set India target of 392



Basseterre (St Kitts), June 26 (IANS) West Indies declared their second innings 35 minutes into the final day of the third Test here Monday at 172 for six, setting India a victory target of 392 in a minimum of 88 overs.

West Indies' intent to score quick runs was obvious from the start and the Indian captain Rahul Dravid set up defensive fields to counter it, both Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh bowling negative lines with five men on the boundary.

Still runs came at a fair clip. West Indies got 59 runs in eight overs when skipper Brian Lara decided he had enough and declared.
