New York, June 29 (IANS) Rajan Zed, an Indian American, has been selected for the board of the directors of the Nevada World Trade Council (NEWTRAC), Nevada's international trade organisation.
Zed, a resident of Reno, Nevada, was a journalist in India before he migrated to the US.
He is also in the running for the office of the General Improvement District Trustee of Verdi TV district in the November elections in the US.
NEWTRAC is a non-profit professional business organisation, which encourages and supports Nevada's economic diversification and growth by further developing the state's international business opportunities. It provides resources, knowledge, and skills necessary.
Zed holds a masters in business administration from the University of Nevada-Reno and an MSc in mass communications from the San Jose State University, California.
He lives in Reno with his wife and two children.
