Singapore, July 8 (DPA) An Indian national has turned himself in to a neighbourhood police centre in Singapore for the murder of a fellow countryman, said an official Saturday.
The 34-year-old man, who was not named, was one of three believed to have been involved in a fight with another Indian national Ramalingam Manikam, 41, on May 23. A second Indian was also reportedly involved in the scuffle.
Manikam was stabbed in his neck and back and died in a hospital shortly afterwards, a police report said.
His attacker is to be charged in court with murder. If convicted, he faces a mandatory death penalty under the city-state's laws.
