Streisand hits back at ticket sales report

New York, July 9 (IANS) Singer-cum-actress Barbra Streisand's team has said that the reports of sales lag for her tour are false.

According to pagesix.com, promoter Michael Cohl is reportedly 'extremely happy with the ticket sales'. His publicist in a statement said: 'More than 75 percent of the tickets currently available for purchase are already sold, a full three months prior to the start of the tour.'

Cohl claims he wanted to add 20 more dates to the original 20 shows.

He said: 'It certainly shows my faith and that of Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation, my partner, in the success of the tour.'
