Hudson plans baby blues mantra for new mums

New York, July 10 (IANS) Actress Kate Hudson is preparing a handwritten mantra which she plans to give to all new mums who ask her how she lost all her baby weight.

According to contactmusic.com, Hudson, who struggled to lose the weight she gained carrying baby Ryder and suffered bouts of depression, says that positive thinking gave her the edge. She is convinced the idea will work for other mums too.

She says: 'I think one of the most important things for moms to do, and hopefully I'll be able to write it down on a piece of paper and give it to all women who ask me this question, is to take the time out of your day to do something for yourself and make yourself feel good.

'Part of that is the way your body feels, not necessarily how it looks - especially after you've gained 70 pounds. I was depressed. I was the happiest, jolliest pregnant woman, then I had the baby and then I was just fat... I didn't lose any weight delivering. You are breast-feeding and you are starving and looking at yourself in the mirror going, 'I don't feel good about myself.'

'That is not a good feeling for any woman. I went from losing 10 pounds to nothing for weeks and I had to do a movie ('Skeleton Key'). I would just sit there crying, but when you finally get there, you feel so good.'
