Connery polled celeb women think about most when working out

Washington, Jun 01 (ANI): He might be 77, but veteran actor Sean Connery is better than David Beckham when it comes to exercise, a new poll has revealed.

The former James Bond actor has emerged on top in a poll of celebrities that women think about most when working out, ousting 33-year-old Beckham to the second place.

The survey had been carried out to mark Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 2008 series and to find out which celebrities would motivate women to get to the finish line.

After the two, the next in line was chef Gordon Ramsey, who finished third, with Prince William coming in fourth in a survey of over 1,000 women by the charity.

X Factor judge Simon Cowell rounded off the top five.

Natasha Woodford, head of Cancer Research UK's Race for Life commented on the choices that have been made.

"It was surprising to find that Sean Connery beat David Beckham, who regularly tops the poll of the world's best looking men," Contactmusic quoted Woodford as saying.

"But whether it's a famous heartthrob or a family member, it's always a good incentive to have someone waiting for you at the finish line, and we're sure there will be lots of people supporting our Race for Life participants at the events this year," she added.

Besides finding out the celebrity who motivates women the most, the survey also revealed that women would most like to go for a walk, jog or run with the female cast of Friends, while the Golden Girls came second.

Third place went to those Desperate Housewives and the Sex and the City women and Girls Aloud made it into the chart in fourth and fifth place respectively. (ANI)
