DiCaprio signs on for 'Atari'

Washington, June 7 (ANI): Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to star in Paramount Pictures' 'Atari'.

The movie is a biopic about entrepreneur Nolan Bushnell, the creator of Atari and one of the founding fathers of the vidgame industry.

And along with acting in the pic, DiCaprio is also producing through his Appian Way shingle.

Script for the pic is being penned by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman who convinced Bushnell that they could do his unique story justice, reports Variety.

Bushnell and Ted Dabney founded Atari Inc. in 1972 and were instrumental in bringing arcade games, home vidgame consoles and home computers to the masses. Among the company's contributions was PONG and the Atari 2600. (ANI)
