Ballot paper that brought Hitler to power to be auctioned





London, June 7 (ANI): A rare 1933 ballot paper, which brought Nazi dictator Adlof Hitler to power, is set to go under the hammer.

Richard Westwood-Brookes, from Mullock's Auctioneers, said that the paper, on which a vote for the Nazi Party has been marked, was a document that had destined the world to war.

"Many people do not realise that Hitler did not come to power via a military takeover," Times Online quoted Westwood-Brookes, as saying

"He was democratically elected Chancellor of Germany," he added.

The paper bears the name of Hitler with Rudolf Hess and Hermann Goering - and of party leaders whom Hitler later murdered.

The paper will be sold on June 25 at an auction of historical documents at Ludlow Racecourse.

The owner wishes to remain anonymous and the circumstances of the discovery have not been disclosed. (ANI)
