'People underestimate Angelina Jolie': Clint Eastwood

Washington, Jun 10 (ANI): American film director and actor Clint Eastwood believes that people underestimate Angelina Jolie, because she is such a beautiful woman.

Eastwood is currently directing Joile in a new movie The Changeling and according to him the actress has more to her than her looks.

He believes that even though Jolie is one of the most attractive stars in the world and an impressive actress, she has more substance to her personality than she is given credit for.

The 'Dirty Harry' star is convinced that critics overlook her other qualities because of her appearance.

"I think that people underestimate her talent because she is such a good-looking woman. That was a problem Ingrid Bergman encountered. Bette Davis didn't have that handicap; her face didn't fit the standards of glamour. People instantly though of her as a great actress," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"Angelina Jolie is more like Simone Signoret, whose obvious glamour never obscured her personality," he added. (ANI)
