Hip-hop group 'Wu-Tang Clan' launch chess website

London, June 10 (ANI): Known for their violent lyrics and constant encounters with the law, notorious hip hop group, 'Wu-Tang Clan' is now venturing into a completely different domain-launching a chess website.

The group comprising eight members, has launched a website called WuChess.com, touted as the "the world's first online chess and urban social network".

After paying 29 pounds per year, a user can not only compete with other rap fans round the world and set up their own chess "clans", but they can even qualify for talking on Wu-Tang Clan members and other chess-loving hip hop stars.

The website claims that while players can compete to win prizes, they can even log on "just for the joy of flexing yer mentals," reports the Telegraph.

Developed under the partnership between Wu-Tang Clan producer RZA and the ChessPark social network, the website will donate the profits, if any, to the Hip Hop Chess Federation, said the company.

New York based, 'Wu-Tang Clan', is quite a successful and acclaimed hip hop group, however, their brushes with law, have taken a toll on their career as well.

In fact, the group's founder member Ol' Dirty Bastard, or Russell Jones, has to frequent court on various assault, drug and driving charges before he finally died in 2004. (ANI)
