Queen Elizabeth met US President George Bush during his two-day visit to the UK

Britain's Queen Elizabeth met US President George Bush during his two-day visit to the UK over the weekend.
The monarch welcomed Bush to London's Buckingham Palace for a 45-minute tea meeting yesterday (15.06.08).
The pair dined on cakes and finger sandwiches before heading to Windsor Castle's St George's Hall for an official photocall.
A spokesperson for the queen said the meeting was a "private and informal visit between old friends".
Later, the president met up with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah at London's Downing Street, where he was greeted by hundreds of anti-war protesters.
Brown and Bush will meet formally today (16.05.08) to discuss relations in the Middle East, as well as the price of food and fuel.
The protestors gathered in Parliament Square, shouting "George Bush, terrorist", for the rally organised by the Stop War Coalition, CND and the British Muslim Initiative.
Andrew Burgin, a spokesman for the coalition, said: "We think Bush is a war criminal. Both Blair and Bush are responsible by duplicity and lying for an illegal invasion of Iraq."
